Have you ever been to an International Café & Beverage Show (ICBS)?
On April 25, 2025, we attended the International Café & Beverage Show (ICBS) held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The event gave us the opportunity to explore a wide range of distributors, specialists, and businesses in the food and beverage industry. It was a valuable experience that allowed us to gain deeper insights into the importance of POS systems in the industry, while also connecting with other companies in the same field.
What is The International Café & Beverage Show About?
The International Café & Beverage Show (ICBS) — a Montgomery Asia Fine Food Event, has returned to Kuala Lumpur from 24–26 April 2025 at KLCC. ICBS had firmly established itself as the leading business platform for the café industry, with a strong focus on innovative, premium products tailored for independent cafés and retailers across the country.
We were just in time! To take a glance at the Malaysia Open Championship.
The Malaysia Open Championship (MOC) features the Malaysia Open Barista Championship (MOBC), the Malaysia Open Latte Art Championship (MOLAC), and the Malaysia Open Brewers Cup (MOBrC). Since its inception in 2017, MOC has been dedicated to fostering growth and nurturing the talent of baristas across the Asia-Pacific region.
So many things were going on, can’t quite tell our favourite though!
As we walked through the event, we came across various unique booths—some showcasing cutting-edge technology tailored for the food and beverage industry, others offering original ingredients for preparing diverse dishes and drinks. There were also booths featuring ready-made items such as tart shells, buttermilk, puff pastry, and more.
Through this event, we also made new friends along the way!
We were introduced to a new POS system designed to make retailing more convenient for business owners. Its simple and user-friendly interface makes it an ideal choice for the elderly or anyone who may find traditional, feature-heavy POS systems difficult to use. Additionally, e-invoicing is made easier, as receipts can be sent directly via WhatsApp or email.
We were given a hands-on experience with their POS system!
It truly was interesting to explore all the features and functionalities offered by this POS system. We also had the chance to try out its built-in sharing feature, which allows real-time sharing of reports, receipts, and transaction records with anyone, anytime via WhatsApp or email. What’s more, the software can run without an internet connection — that’s so practical!
