POS, Self-Service Kiosk & KDS Installation for Seoul and Roll at Seremban Gateway

On 25 December 2025, the Stingray Solution team travelled to Seremban Gateway to carry out a complete POS system installation for Seoul and Roll, a fast-food-style restaurant specialising in fried chicken.

As Seoul and Roll operates with a fast-food service model, speed and efficiency are important parts of its daily operations. To support this workflow, the restaurant decided to implement a combination of a main POS system, two self-service kiosks and a Kitchen Display System (KDS).

A POS Setup Designed for Fast-Food Operations

Unlike a traditional full-service restaurant where most orders are taken by waiters, Seoul and Roll follows a faster ordering concept where customers can place their orders directly and the kitchen can begin preparing them as quickly as possible.

To support this workflow, we installed a SUNMI D3 Pro dual-screen POS as the main cashier terminal.

Two Self-Service Kiosks for Customer Ordering

One of the key features of this installation was the setup of two iMin kiosk units.

With self-service kiosks, customers can browse the available menu and place their own orders without depending entirely on the main cashier.

For a fast-food-style restaurant, this setup can help distribute orders across multiple ordering points, especially during busy periods.

Instead of having every customer queue at one cashier, the combination of the main POS and two kiosks provides additional ways for customers to place their orders.

This helps create a more convenient ordering experience while allowing staff to focus on preparing and serving the food.

Kitchen Display System for a Smoother Workflow

When an order is placed through the POS or kiosk, the kitchen team can receive the relevant order information through the system and begin preparing the food.

For Seoul and Roll’s fast-food operating model, connecting the ordering process with the kitchen is an important part of maintaining an organised workflow.

Using a KDS can also reduce the reliance on printed order tickets and provide kitchen staff with a clearer view of the orders that need to be prepared.

Supporting Different F&B Business Models

Every F&B business operates differently, and the POS system should be designed around the actual workflow of the restaurant.

For Seoul and Roll, its fast-food concept made the combination of self-service kiosks, a main POS and a Kitchen Display System particularly suitable for its operations.

At Stingray Solution Sdn Bhd, we work with our customers to understand their business requirements before recommending and implementing the appropriate POS hardware and system configuration.

Whether it is a traditional restaurant, café, food court outlet or fast-food concept, our goal is to provide a POS solution that helps businesses improve their ordering workflow and operate more efficiently.
